A little gem in remote Japan

A little gem in remote Japan

That’s all I can think when I’m here. It’s such a fantastic place and though took awhile to get here being in this mountain area has been amazing. Started off by going to a food market and trying different foods and sampling. They have amazing custard pots!

After which went to a beautiful old preserved Japanese village and couldn’t have been better with the snow was an amazing and beautiful place to see how they lived.

After being out in the cold all morning you need a Sake tour and then Shabu Shabu for lunch to warm you up!

It’s an amazing town and just wondering with some of the group is a great chance to meet them and get to know them more and find little places that serve a great coffee and desert.

Takayama also has an amazing temples here as well!

One thing you realize quickly is the amount of walking you end up doing. You don’t really notice till the end of the day because your just enjoying every moment in what you are doing. This leads to massive hunger and Kiriko took us to the best Wagu in Takayama. And, my God, you haven’t had beef till you have a grade A5 Wagu! It is amazing and probably the best steak if had to date!

And finish it off you have to have a Kimono Sake party!
